With all the talk about the economy and how we must “tighten our belts,” it is easy to become obsessed with everything that is wrong around us. It is precisely during times like these that we make an extra effort to focus on our blessings and what is going “right” in our lives. Each and every one of us can look around and notice what we have to be grateful for. For one person it could be close relationships, for another it could the neighborhood they live in, and for someone else it could be a beautiful sunset or the sound of a child’s laughter. All around us is beauty and abundance, we just have to allow ourselves to take it in and appreciate it.
